About

Amy Abdelnoor is a British Arab novelist and English teacher based in London. She studied English and Arabic at the University of Cambridge, and her writing is deeply influenced by her connections to the Arab world and her experiences living in Palestine and Lebanon. In her early twenties, Abdelnoor lived and worked in the West Bank and in Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon. These experiences shaped her understanding of displacement, identity, and the lasting effects of political conflict, eventually inspiring her debut novel, Ever Land (2026). An early version of the novel was shortlisted for the 2023 Lucy Cavendish College Fiction Prize. In Ever Land, Abdelnoor interweaves the stories of Dinah, a Jewish teenager from London, and Safa, a Palestinian girl killed during the Six-Day War, exploring how personal lives are shaped by history, memory, and displacement. Through her fiction, Abdelnoor brings human complexity to histories of conflict, examining belonging, family, and the possibility of connection across deep divisions. She is married and has three children.
